Overview

Amici Street Cafe, nestled quietly at 12 Princes St, Turramurra, offers a genuine retreat from the usual urban bustle. This cafe brings together the classic charm of a small Italian coffee house with a contemporary Australian twist, creating an inviting spot for locals and visitors alike.

The heart of Amici lies in its excellent coffee, especially their cafe latte and hot chocolate, crafted with Gabriel coffee beans that guarantee depth and smoothness in every cup. Whether you’re starting your morning or seeking an afternoon pause, the coffees here hold a reliable quality that draws many back.

Beyond the beverages, Amici’s food menu complements the brew beautifully. Their breakfast options, like the celebrated breakfast bun, bring fresh, thoughtfully prepared flavors to the table. For something more distinct, the Sicilian-inspired "Mi Scusi" and the mortadella panini are standout dishes that carry a flavorful punch and align perfectly with the cafe’s authenticity.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, accentuated by genuine smiles and engaging conversations with the staff, notably Abigail whose presence brings a personable touch rare in many cafes. The service balances professionalism with heartfelt attentiveness, making the space more than just a coffee stop; it’s a community hub where patrons feel acknowledged and valued.

The layout and outdoor seating speak volumes about thoughtful design—smart tables and comfortable chairs set the right tone for relaxed socializing or solitary reflection. The addition of a dog water dish caters thoughtfully to canine companions, reflecting the cafe’s close ties to the neighborhood.

Amici Street Cafe shines as a locale for those who appreciate quality without pretense, targeting coffee lovers, brunch enthusiasts, and anyone seeking a place that feels like a second home. It stands as a quiet gem within Turramurra and deserves attention for successfully blending exceptional coffee culture with an atmosphere rich in warmth and authenticity.

I was told by a friend that this place had great pastries and fresh offerings and they so like it that they brought some pastries to work and shared them with me. So today I decided to try it out for myself. The shop has great fresh pastries and I was greeted warmly with a smile at the front by the very well presented Barista and was very pleasantly surprised to have a pleasant chat with Abigail who was present and engaged. The other staff gave space for this and brought out my really great (and substantial) banana bread - perfectly toasted. I really enjoyed also the pleasant spirit of the patrons and brief banter, who clearly enjoy getting their morning coffee’s and were personally pleasant as well. In this Sydney environment of an over focus of the task and financial transactions and doing the “business”, it is very pleasing to come across a warm heart in the middle of it all. Places like this deserve more patronage by having a balance of business and the touch - I hope that is not lost. Btw the outside furniture is really nice - comfortable chairs - smart tables, and a dog water dish for canine friends (being next door to a Veterinarian practice - that is practical and great common sense). 5 stars to the warm heart of Turramurra

Amici Street Cafe is an absolute hidden gem on a quiet, peaceful street in Turramurra. As soon as you walk in you’re greeted by friendly staff & transported to what feels like a small Italian cafe. Having Gabriel coffee means every coffee is just perfection and their new iced strawberry matcha was one of the best I’ve tried! Their menu is unique and unlike your regular Sydney cafe. Every item is so flavourful and refreshing, I couldn’t fault a single thing. A must try is the Mi Scusi, Sicilian & their mortadella panini. This cafe is the perfect spot to enjoy an Autumn brunch with friends, highly recommend!

All I can say is the slogan "where friends meet" perfectly describes the warmth and feel of this lovely cafe. The food and service beautifully balance keeping the local cafe feel, without compromising on taste. Also, the best coffee I've had in Sydney! Don't believe me, try it out.

Amici Street is hands down the best Italian café in Sydney. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with the warmth of true Italian hospitality, world-class coffee, and food that feels straight out of Rome. Every dish bursts with authentic flavour — fresh, generous, and made with love. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between buzzing café energy and cosy neighbourhood charm. If you’re chasing an unforgettable Italian dining experience, Amici Street isn’t just recommended — it’s unmissable.

Our favourite local office cafe!! Amici is our go-to for a morning pick me up. Their matcha is our office favourite and they also make really good coffee. We love going in daily to be greeted by the friendly faces of their team and we always feel so much warmth like we are right at home!
